PROJECT NEWS: Short Film in the Making
Jesse L. Martin, Carlos Valdes and Rick Cosnett of The Flash are working on a new short film, The Letter Carrier. Martin and Valdes will be composing original music for the film, a period piece from the 1800s on black history. Shooting is expected to start in April 2015 in Vancouver. A kickstarter will be launched soon to help fund the project.

PROJECT NEWS: The Flash to Premiere October 7th at 8/7c on the CW
The
Flash will premiere on October 7th with an encore of the pilot the 8th
at 9/8c. The second episode will air on the 14th, with an encore of the
episode on the 15th at 9/8c.

PROJECT NEWS: The Flash Has Been Picked Up
Today, the CW announced shows that have been cancelled and renewed, along with the pilots they have ordered. Among pilots picked up was The Flash starring Grant Gustin, Jesse L. Martin, Rick Gosnett and Tom Cavanagh. As previously announced, a trailer for the show will be seen during the season finale of Arrow on May 14th.

According to IMDB.com, Jesse L. Martin has joined a film titled Nebraska Horizon (2014)
that is currently in pre-production. Others starring in the movie

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Jesse L. Martin did not take part in the reading of Fences presented by The Greene Space this evening as originally announced. Kevin Carroll replaced him as Lyons.

With only three weeks of filming left in
the Marvin Gaye biopic, filming has been stopped for the past month.
Initially it was due to problems with getting certain filming locations
which then led to schedule conflicts with actors' schedules. However,
different sources are reporting that there have been financing issues
and the future of the film is uncertain. Crew members have apparently
not been paid in full as a result of a cash flow problem with an
American investor, however, it has been suggested that this has been
resolved. Focus Features, who boarded with the film in April, has now

Martin, Vanessa Redgrave, Matt Damon, Alan Alda, Gloria Reuben, Christine Baranski, Lily Rabe, Hamish Linklater and others, will read from Shakespeare, while Harvard professor Michael Sandel will lead a conversation about the rise of the language of money. Tickets are free and will be distributed, two per person, at noon on June 17th, 2013 at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. The event will take place that evening at 8 pm.
